Documentary Costs

The costings of this Documentary are suprising, in terms of how much this would cost (if it was to be made away from University and without the aid of Coventry University) as a rough estimate I would be looking at around £14,372. Although this would cover all the equiptment I would need in terms of cameras, lenses, lighting and sound for a two day shoot, it would also cover a Director, Producer, Camera Operator and Boom Operator for the two days. The budget would then also account for a sound editor for two days and a video editor for five days. With the help of the University and by using my own equiptment (LUMIX G7 and Rode Rifle Mic) and also covering my own travel expenses and directing/producing/editing myself the costs are looking a little like £100-£300 which is purely travel costs and expenses for myself.. This has been achieved by speaking to Meningitis Now who have kindly allowed me to use their HQ facilities for free and to also interview all of the people I wish free of charge too.
